The Wii U version of FIFA 13 will be different from the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version. Yes, it looks the same, but it plays completely different.
You will need to use the Wii U gamepad to pass, tackle and shoot, or to take free kicks, penalties and do much more tactical stuff.
Just like in Pro Evo for the Wii you can make your team mates run into free space by dragging their symbols on the touch screen. A perfect way to make use of open space in the defense.
While taking free kicks you need to use the touch screen to add an amount of curve to the ball and place your shot in the corner. Your success will be dependent on for example the skills of the kick taker.
The gamepad is also useful for on the fly adjustments to your tactics. Make your team play more rough, more attacking or in another formation for example.
It's not known in what other ways the controller of the Wii U will be used in the game, or what will happen when you play 1 versus 1 with one gamepad and a Wii remote.
