Episode Two continues the journey of building a sustainable Eco house. It is completely off the grid, solar power, on site sewage system, on site soak pit, water tanks Sustainable and locally sourced materials for the Eco house

Sue and Mattias wanted to live in a sustainable home so they approached us to design and build the project for them. This video shows the process they (and we) went through from design through to completion.

The eco house looks fantastic and works really well, the house stays at a constant temperature of about 18% all year round.

As the eco house is just for Sue and Mattias they didn't need it to be big so this is probably what most people would classify as a smaller home

This project - Building a Sustainable Eco House - is:
Built completely off the grid
Uses Solar power with battery storage,
Tanks for water storage
Solar Hot Water
Log burner for heat and with wet back for water heating in the winter
User of low energy fridge and freezer
Concrete tilt up panels
Dark coloured Concrete floor to retain the heat from the sun during the day and release it at night
Timber windows and doors all made to a very high quality and with German precision.
Double and triple glazed windows and doors
Locally sourced timbers for exterior cladding and detail and also interior doors and kitchen units
