(Feb. 14, 2013 note: Use http://www.ivippie.com to phone, video chat or IM!) My first trial of recording a demo of video call Skype on PC in Florida to fring on cell phone in Israel was with Camtasia and perfect ... except we could only hear my voice and not Jake's. I was using premium ISP and so was he. Shucks! Next trial, both on sketchy wifi, but other than that, really cool and I want to share with you.

So you hear the music to the Xbox 360 Oblivion game in the background. My husband is recording the test from my Toshiba laptop and the one who told me to quit acting like an Italian. (What? My maiden name is Lombard. I can't help it!) Anyways, I call from my Skype to the Skype ID of Jake Levant (pronounced Levant like "ant" not like "aunt" the way I was saying it) who is VP of Marketing fring. He answered on his fring application on an iPhone or maybe it was an iPod Touch? Video and voice on both sides. Both of us are using wifi that is being stretched beyond its intended use, but the cool message is here...

We'll post an article on offline and online http://www.Techistan.net magazine.

This awesome mobile APP fring lets you and me communicate with total freedom. It lets us keep many of our IM networks like MSN IM, Skype, Facebook and more on mobile devices at the same time, on our cell phone, netbook, and laptop. We can call and receive calls with voice, chat, and video. We can get the word out quickly and show others what is happening right around us. Buy your loved ones a cell phone, set up fring on it and start talking to each other free with voice, video and chat. The possiblities? Wow, endless.
