If you're still using Internet Explorer to surf the Web, odds are its probably because you either haven't heard how bad Internet Explorer is or you don't know what your alternatives are. For several years now, Firefox has been providing competition in the Web browser market. Without this force, Microsoft would have had little reason to introduce any of its "latest" features like tabbed browsing and a built-in search bar for searching multiple resources, or generally securing the Web surfing experience.
In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to download and install Firefox for your Windows XP PC. And at the end of the tutorial I'll show you how to make Firefox your default browser. In later tutorials I'll show you how to add extensions to Firefox that will dramatically enhance your Web surfing experience.
