I originally thought this elevator was hydraulic. I took two videos of that elevator, one in the afternoon, and one the next morning so I can go to the 5th floor. When I did go to the 5th floor, I figured out this elevator was an older geared traction, because I heard motor sounds that made it obvious. Anyway, this elevator serves the so called "West Tower", located at the Sea Crest Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. This tower is only 5 floors, and is connected to the main tower via stairwell, but these two towers have different heights for each floor, and therefore they do not directly connect to each other, but by a short stairwell. The floors of the main tower are half a floor higher than the floors of this "tower". The 5th floor contains a breakfast cafe called "Breakfast Cafe", and obviously this floor is only open in the mornings.
