Seafood of the world's oceans is not an unlimited source for human food as, according to United Nations, more than 85 percent of the world's fish stocks today are fished to their limits or on the verge of collapse. Today around half of the world's consumption of seafood comes from aquaculture and in this field landbased aquaculture is rapidly growing without using or polluting the oceans.
