WHO AM I?
My name is Clement Montfort. I'm 30 and I'm director.
Between 2012 and 2016, I worked as a director and cameraman for French television. Now I've started independently on Tipeee via my Youtube channel.
In recent years, I have focused my energy on making documentaries related to ecology and our future on this planet. These questions fascinate me as much as they frighten me. I think it is necessary to keep your eyes open to avoid the worst.
I refer you to my previous projects carried out for France Télévisions. They are available for free on Internet: The War of the Seeds (funded by France 5) / Healers Lands (funded by France 2).
After university, I learned about the image and documentary filmmaking from the inevitable (!!) LaTéléLibre.fr team, founded by John Paul Lepers in 2007!
"[NEXT]": MY CURRENT PROJECT FUNDING TIPEEE
For creative and editorial freedom, I chose to make my future internet projects without television channel in crowdfunding. This is the objective of this page Tipeee.
I've worked on [NEXT] for one year. This is a web documentary series dealing with our near future on this planet: organic frustrations of ecosystems, population migration due to weather conditions, risks of oil shortages, a series on the risk of collapse of our civilization.
[NEXT] will also address the potential resilience of our society: new agricultural models, use of low-techs (post-carbon or low carbon technologies), alternative lifestyles, reorganization of cities.
"What actually awaits us? How to be prepare to it?" will be the two issues theme of this project.
THE STARTING POINT: THE GALAXY OF "COLLAPSOLOGUES"
In April 2015, Pablo Servigne Stevens and Raphael have published their book "How everything could collapse." They then launched a new intellectual trend they call "Collapsology" or "science of the collapse of our civilization."
Intrigued by their work, I decided to film them to discover their universe, the galaxy of "collapsologues".
In the 70s already, Dennis Meadows, in his report to the Club of Rome included a collapse of our consumption and our society in the 2030s.
What about today and what should we except in the near future?
WHAT WILL SERVE MONEY HARVESTED FOR EACH EPISODE?
Finance [NEXT] is financing the days of filming and equipment rental, daily fixtures and equipment, the days of trails, survey day travel on shooting locations. [NEXT] needs you. Funding is totally independent and without, the project can not exist.
HOW OFTEN? HOW MANY EPISODES PER MONTH?
I plan to publish one episode per month.
[NEXT] A SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY PROJECT
[NEXT] is a web documentary series which is built the same as her viewers community. Many events are already planned, but nonetheless, the project is to keep a strong link with the community to adjust the direction according to the demands, the group's wishes.
We will organize events to meet and discuss the project.
[NEXT] seeks to inform the near future. Without falling into the "dark side of the force" in anxiety-necessarily news, however NEXT boasts a catastrophism "enlightened" in the words of Jean Pierre Dupuy. In other words, when the future is approaching, it is reassuring to talk.
