What looks like a peaceful side-by-side game of Breakout and Tetris suddenly turns into something from the future, where games cross barriers and start to interfere with one another. A vision created by Peter Molydeux and executed by Romain Killian and Mark Cooke via the Orx engine.
Music by the fantastic virt, used without permission but a lot of love.
The Breakout player wins by screwing with the Tetris player and destroying their lines, forcing them to the top.
The Tetris player wins by making lines, which creates bricks on the other side, blocking the Breakout player. If the lines drop below the death line on the Breakout side, the Breakout player loses.
We wanted to explore - where do those Tetris lines go when they are cleared, if not to a game of Breakout? This is the result.
Intended to be played with two players competitively but can be played by yourself for a dexterity challenge.
