This is a new (for me) idea I've been messing with; using chord inversions all over the neck. Here I share with you a lick utilizing a series of descending D6/9 chord inversions that create a pentatonic melody.
I'm still working on it. I'm using smaller voicings/inversions of the standard 6th, 5th, and 4th string root chords.
