Add wolves to the number of canine animals that are way cuter in puppy form.

Conservationists are cheering the arrival of eight Mexican wolf pups born on a preserve in the New York City suburbs. Five males and three females were born, and the development could help a federal program charged with reintroducing the wolves to the wild.

Peter Siminski, coordinator of the Mexican wolf program for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service, noted that, "Eight new pups in a world population of around 366 is a 2 percent increase."

In order to best equip them for a better chance out in the wild, the conservation center won't help the parents raise the pups. But that won't stop them—and us—from enjoying them!
