Derrick Rose (born October 4, 1988 in Chicago, Illinois) is a basketball player moving American point guard in the Chicago Bulls (NBA). It measures 1m91.
Despite being a rookie (beginner), Rose is fast in which the Bulls are struggling in the NBA for several seasons. At All Star Weekend in February 2009, he participated in the game against the Rookies Sophomores (second year in the NBA) and the Skills Challenge which he won.

On April 15, 2009, his Chicago Bulls team qualified for the playoffs. In the first game of playoffs to the Boston Celtics, he equals the record of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the number of points scored by a rookie (first year) for his first playoff game (36 points). But despite the good performance of the team, the Bulls were defeated by the Celtics after one of the most epic series in the history of the NBA in seven games. He was elected Rookie of the Year for the 2008-2009 season [2].

For the second year in the NBA, despite a difficult start due to injury during his first preseason game, he manages to find his game and is finally selected for the 2010 All-Star Game being held in Dallas February 14 [3]. He is also the first player to be selected for both the Rookie Challenge, the Skills Challenge and the All-Star game. However, he gets permission from the NBA's Rookie Challenge exemption and so do not play three days straight at the All-Star Weekend [4]. He can defend his title at the Skills Challenge because of pain in his right hip. At the All-Star Game, he scored 8 points, 4 assists and 3 steals in 15 minutes of play once again Touched by an injury, he returned in time to qualify his team for the Play-Off 2010 when the Chicago Bulls s 'tilt in the first round against the Cavaliers LeBron James with a score of 4 wins to 1.
On February 10, 2010, Derrick Rose is announced in the size of the U.S. National Team that will compete including the 2010 World Championships in Turkey and the Summer Olympics in London in 2012.
