A Melbourne bound V/line V/locity passenger railcar has just left Lara station and now heads towards Melbourne bathed in pink and orange light from the setting sun. In the background a slow moving freight train can also be seen.

The V/Locity (also known as the Vlocity or "Vlocity 160") is a high speed diesel multiple unit (DMU) train manufactured by Bombardier Transportation and is used by V/Line on its broad gauge regional rail network in Victoria, Australia. The VLocity is an evolution of the Xplorer & Endeavour railcars used by Countrylink and Cityrail in NSW.

A model of this train in HO scale will soon be available from Southern Rail Models. Details on their website http://www.southernrailmodels.com.au/ .
