Big data and supercomputing applications require immediate storage performance delivered efficiently. Disk storage performance has not kept pace with compute. Worse, the performance gap between compute and storage continues to widen. A new I/O performance model is needed to accelerate today’s data-driven and I/O-intensive workloads.
