The constraints on a human mind are artificial barriers.

Nora's talk is about advancing through hard work, risk taking, with unconditional love and inspiration to develop individual potential and community. It is a social and business imperative.

The obstacles and struggles encountered require tireless exertion that an immigrant's work ethic applies when having the opportunity and empowerment.

Nora's profound statement that "Kids can't be what they can't see" is an observation in action through Latinas in STEM.

Work hard, take a risk, and learn about the "impostor syndrome".

A Latina, three time graduate of MIT and executive at Boeing. The Co-founder of new not-for-profit organization, "Latinas in STEM Foundation" whose mission is to inspire and empower Latinas to pursue, thrive and advance in #STEM fields.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
