Cindy Koh of Clay Expression Malaysia shares how she prepares her slip for casting. Cindy is a pottery teacher in Malaysia and runs clay classes and ceramic workshops. To start learning clay craft or pottery in Malaysia clicks the link above.

Things You Need:
Dry Clay, Water, Large bucket, Paint Mixer, Hand Drill, Weighing scale

Step 1: Weigh out 10kg of clay (clay should be 100% dried)

Step 2: Pour in water. Make sure water covers the clay. Let it sit for half and hour just to make sure the clay disintegrates.

Step 3: Mix up the clay and water. Add in 3 table spoon of Soda ash and 3 table spoon of sodium bisilicate.

Step 4: Let the clay sit over night so that the particles fuses together before use.
