Waterleaf welcomes Chicago native Nadia Tilkian to the helm as Executive Chef of the upscale Glen Ellyn restaurant. Click here to learn more about Chef Nadia's vision for Waterleaf. A graduate of the Culinary School of Kendall College and former Clarendon Hills restaurant owner, Chef Nadia's culinary resume includes experience at Chicago locations Bistro 110 under Chef Glenn Wielo and Zinfandel, as well as service as a sous chef and chef de cuisine at the Zagat-rated Barrington Country Bistro. "I love the creativity of cooking and the instant satisfaction I receive in making guests happy," Chef Nadia said. "There's an energy that comes through my cooking that guests truly appreciate." At Waterleaf, Chef Nadia said her menu will focus on high-quality, fresh, seasonal ingredients. "I enjoy investigating new textures and flavors that focus on the main component of each dish," she said. "Simple but elegant, inventive yet comfortable, is how I like to describe my style of cooking." Under Nadia's guidance, the new dinner menu at Waterleaf highlights entrees such as Salmon with Curried Cauliflower, Capers and Parsley Sauce; Filet served with Braised Vegetable-Kalamata Stew, Potato Galette, and Horseradish Crème; and Duck Breast stuffed with Foie Gras and served with Beets and Butternut Squash Puree. Featuring a diverse array of salads, sandwiches and entrees, the lunch menu is suitable for a quick lunch, casual business meeting or a leisurely gathering of friends, while the Sunday brunch highlights selections of lunch and breakfast items artfully crafted and served with complementary sides.
