Version number of Discover Pro V03.959.800.QN ECE 2016 0134
Using the original short Apple Cable, provided by Apple support.
Steps taken:
- Completely reset iPhone6 via iTunes, fresh download of 9.2.1
- Tested it afterwards, on a clean Discover Pro setup, Carplay not working.
- At the moment of delivery the iPhone6 connected with Carplay briefly and after 10 seconds the connection died to never work again
- Upon connecting another iPhone 6s it immediately works.
Apple support is now working on it, 3 tier support i believe. And Apple called Volkswagen to reproduce the issue
Waiting for a response from Apple or VW at the moment.
Because i see a lot of people struggling with the interconnectivity of devices, automotive especially i uploaded this case.

Tried 3 original apple cables
Tried Resetting Discover Pro bij holding power button for more than 20 seconds
Tried Deleting all Bluetooth connections
Tried Airplane mode on and off
Tried comparing all settings with a working iPhone 6s, used exactly similar settings
