In Season 2, Episode 1 of Meet The Professors, Deana Pollard Sacks interviews Erwin Chemerinsky (Founding Dean, University of California, Irvine, School of Law) about his book, The Case Against The Supreme Court. The professors discuss the Isis crisis, campaign finance, injustice at the hands of the Supreme Court justices, and the Supreme Court’s perpetuation of racism, among other issues. Supreme Court cases, including Bush v. Gore, Citizens United, Dred Scott, Korematsu v. United States, and Buck v. Bell, are analyzed. In the end, Dean Chemerinsky explains his ideas for reforming the United States Supreme Court to create a more balanced and accountable Supreme Court - reform he says any president could propose and set into motion.
