Online learning event on "Good practices of using Google Hangouts for knowledge sharing and knowledge campaigns"
5 March 2013, 10:30-11:30

Google Hangouts is one of the online available and inexpensive ways to engage high-level people and the civil society or NGOs to launch or organize public events (for ex, knowledge campaigns). It gives visibility to conferences, campaigns and projects. The purpose of this session is to learn some good-practices as well as lessons learned on running Google Hangouts for different outreach and knowledge campaigns.

In this session, you'll learn about good practices from 3 Google Hangouts organized before, during and after Rio+20 and other events. We'll go through 10 steps to follow to organize a successful Hangout. Participants from the field and from the KM group can ask questions about their specific environment and discuss how to utilize this tool better for knowledge sharing and promoting large-scale events and conferences.

Online Moderators/Speaker:
Brigitte Perrin (Consultant, Upwelling)

Online guests:
Marc Lepage (UNDP), Frederic Ballenegger (UN), Romolo Tassone (UNDP), Anne Boelens (UNDP), Silke Von Brockhausen (UNDP)
