This is provided to try and get you to think and not do things just because it makes you feel good or makes you think you are safe. A helmet will NOT protect a broken neck, broken back, prevent you from getting dragged by a horse and many other issues. Understanding horses and working on your horsemanship will keep you safer than bits, spurs, big belt buckles that you won, ribbons, medals, titles, certifications and all the other stuff that people think makes them good safe riders.
If you take care of your horsemanship, your horsemanship will take care of you. This is my opinion, not advice to wear or not to wear. This is a personal choice.
