'A Case for Sound' are sound objects used to make the audio work for 'Nite Ride', a curated series of sound works meant to be listened to while driving at night.

These are excerpts from the documentation of the recording session of 'A Case for Sound: Nite Ride' for the 'Nite Ride' publication and for the MP3 version anyone can download from the web.

For the launch of 'Nite Ride', the audience collectively experienced the sound works on a bus while driving specific routes at night.

For my work, eight 'Cases for Sound' were handed out and passed around by the audience during the drive.

Each bus ride resulted in a slightly different version of the sound work depending on the number of audience members, where you sat in the bus or how the different sounds in each box were modulated.
