From November 8-10, 2010, the Holocaust Museum mounted a special nighttime exhibition as part of FotoWeek DC, "Our Walls Bear Witness: Sudan at the Crossroads." Projected on the Museum's exterior walls on 15th Street, SW in Washington, DC, a short film and dozens of photographs opened a window into the lives of the people of South Sudan. The images were taken by Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Lucian Perkins, who joined a recent Museum-sponsored bearing witness trip to assess conditions in South Sudan as the region prepares for a referendum on its independence.

The Holocaust Museum held an opening ceremony for the special nighttime exhibition on November 8th in the Hall of Witness.
