Slide show of the world record setting on sunday March 4th 2012, at KC Cakefest. Carey Iennaccaro, driver and co-founder of KC Cakefest,Chassis built by Jason Slover of Pete & Jakes and Bobby Schumacher of Vintage Fabrication, The car was created with 160 sheet cakes, a bunch of isomalt ( thanks Peggy!) over 100lbs of fondant and more. The total weight was 716 lbs and it went 28mph. The record was set as part of My KC Cakefest charity cake festival for The Whole Person. A charity that works to promote indepenence for people with disabilities. Carey did an amazing job, piloting the car, and helping to produce cakefest.
