Niigaanwewidam James Sinclair is Anishinaabe, originally from St. Peter's (Little Peguis) Indian Reserve. This university professor is working to extend public awareness of Aboriginal writing and analysis. Niigaan tells the story of the 1907 illegal and unjust removal of the St. Peter's Indian settlement near Selkirk and the devastation it wrought, splitting the community into three divisive groups living in Peguis, Winnipeg, and Selkirk.
