Ein Draht-Stück (Al) und ein Nagelstück (Fe) werden gewogen. In einem Messzylinder aus einer 1-mL Insulinspritze misst man das Volumen durch Wasserdrängung.
Aluminium: Masse = 1,015 g, Volumen = 0,40 mL, Dichte also 2,5 g/mL.
Eisen: Masse = 1,918 g, Volumen = 0,28 mL, Dichte also 6,8 g/mL

Pieces of wire (Al) and of a nail (Fe) are weighed. In a measuring cylinder made from a 1 mL syringe their volumes are me calculated by the volume of water replaced by them.
Aluminium: Mass = 1,015 g, volume = 0,40 mL density 2,5 g/mL.
Iron: Mass = 1,918 g, volume = 0,28 mL density 6,8 g/mL
