This hairstyle was based off an authentic style from the mid-1920s. It is perfect for "day after" curls and can work with a variety of hairstyles. It is my first attempt at making a video so let me know what you think!
Update: In response to the "that is -insert decade here- not 1920s" type comments, you are both right and wrong. This style could very well have been done in a later decade, as styles from the past are always being reused (for example, drop waist dresses were also very popular in the 1960's). This style was based off of an image from my vintage magazine collection (as well as several photographs), which I unfortunately I can't scan as the magazine is too fragile. To see an example of a similar style from a 1920's illustration see the below link (#7 is the most similar) http://www.1920-30.com/fashion/hairst... This first picture here is also similar: http://flapperdays.blogspot.ca/2009/1...
I don't make any money off my videos, but I do have a small business selling vintage inspired handmade clothing. A lot of my designs are inspired by 1920's but are still very wearable. I would love it if you wanted to take a minute and check out my shop. It can be found here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/PhonographFa...
