Period of taking the motion picture: Nanjing surrender morrow (December 14, 1937) - the beginning of January next year (The hospital scene in the end of the movie was taken in Shanghai)
The master of this movie was burnt down due to war damage in the closing days of World War II. (As a result, this movie was not adopted for evidence in the Tokyo Tribunal. ) One print for screening this movie was discovered in the warehouse in Beijing in 1995. It was transferred to Japan by the effort of the parties concerned in China, and it was open to the public. Cameraman Mr. SHIRAI Shigeru witnessed the execution of Chinese Nationalist Party soldiers who disguised it as Nanjing citizens. (Soldiers' camouflaging it to the citizens violates the law of war as known well. They cannot receive the treatment as "Captive".)
