This drawing came to me in a sudden vision, where the long years between the events of July 17th 1918 and the processions that take place today, simply disappeared.
In a very real way, the people were always behind the truck and the truck certainly leads each procession...if one looks with the heart's vision.
I picked mostly nondescript photos of the family and the four others with them for this video , almost mug shots , to underscore thier humanity and, indeed thier unity with the many , many others who suffered and disappeared at this time. They are not forgotten. These 11 stand in for them and well as for themselves.
All who remember them walk behind that truck
The music is from Rachel Portman's score for the film " Never let me go"
