In this video I am making a gentleman's coin wallet from Horween shell cordovan which is one of the most expensive leathers in the world!

Horween is one of the oldest tanneries in the US and one of only a handful of tanneries producing shell cordovan world wide.

Shell cordovan is made from a particular part of a horse hide and is very costly due to the low yield. Each hide produces two shells of just over 2 square feet each. That's not much when you consider that a whole cowhide might produce closer to 50 square feet of leather!
