The lyrics and translation to the Journey ending song I Was Born For This.
The lyrics are taken from famous works of literature and are sung in their original language. The lyrics in this video were translated by the amazing Thatgamecompany forum. Although official lyrics have been released, Austin Wintory has stated "there is a beauty to the iteration you all came up with," so I have left most of the forum translation in the video.

The translation in this video is a hybrid of the forum translation and the official translation. This allows the translation to show the correct meaning of a line without abandoning the forum translation.

Forum translation:
Stat sua cuique dies
Stat sua cuique dies
Mæl is me to feran
A meto maneat nostros
A meto maneat nostros
C'est pour cela que je suis née
Kono michi ya
Yuku hito nashi ni

C'est pour cela que je suis née
Ne me plaignez pas
C'est pour cela que je suis née
