The deadly coronavirus disease, Covid-19, shows it’s vital to identify illnesses fast to save lives and cut the huge workload of laboratories. Two Hong Kong biotech companies aim to offer diagnoses within minutes – not hours or days. Sanwa BioTech’s new medical diagnostic platform, which can diagnose Covid-19, will be ready for use within three months. Health care assessment company Govita Tech’s latest genetic testing and AI technologies are now in use at some of the city’s medical providers, clinics and health clubs.
