Soil is the foundation for every great garden, and there are 4 basic steps you can take to improve yours.
Step one involves testing your soil. Using a home soil kit, you'll want to check the soil's pH. Then test the texture of your soil by squeezing a handful of it. Good soil with neither stay in a clump nor fall through your fingers. It should just crumble.
Step two requires you to correct the chemistry of your soil with organic amendments. If your soil is too acidic, you can add wood ashes or lime. If it's too alkaline, add aluminum sulfate.
Step three is very simple. Just improve upon the texture of your soil with organic matter such as compost or humus.
Step 4 involves boosting the overall health of the soil with Jobe's Organics Granular Fertilizer. It contains Biozome - a specific blend of microorganisms that more rapidly break down soil components into nutrients for your plants.
Give these steps a try, and you'll have great plants to show for it!
