This is a video about what really goes behind so called elehpant riding when you are in Chiang Mai. You see happy tourists riding on top of the elephants and think how cute the baby elephant is. What you don't see is how the mahouts abusing them and the punching, slapping and using of hidden nails in the their hand to stab the elephants. I urge everyone watching this video to stop going for any elephant rides cos the abuse doesn't stop there, it begins way before they are deem 'ok' to let humans ride on them. The elephants are sent to a crushing to break their spirits and many don't make it out alive. If you think it ok to ride them you are supporting the cruelty of animals.
