4/5/10- A great chase day! Missed two tornado warned cells, but was awarded with a third mini supercell that developed to our south. Headed out west when a Tornado Watch was issued for Central IL, turned around and headed east trying to catch a tornado warned cell, it was too far ahead, so we positioned ourselves to intercept another tornado warned cell coming up from the SW. This cell died out before it got to us though. Sat in Tuscola and watched another cell developing. We headed west along Rt. 36 and intercepted the storm in Long Creek IL, where we captured the like span of this wall cloud. It was very defined an almost on the ground at one point. The inflow was so strong you could see it kicking up dirt in the corn field!! A little more upper air dynamics and 15-20 more min. we probably would of had a tornado!
