Physics can be intimidating, but educators on the Physics Bus are trying to change that. By making students’ first exposure to physics fun, they hope to spark a curiosity that will last a lifetime. When students enter the big silver bus, they see exhibits built by children that they can observe and touch. Over the past three years, the Physics Bus has reached over 30,000 students. We caught up with the bus when it stopped at P.S. 166 in Queens, NY.
The exhibits on the bus were developed at the High Energy Synchrotron Source, a national laboratory at Cornell University.
