R. Lee Mosley, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience
Current experimental models show that inflammation plays a significant role in the progression of Parkinson's Disease (PD). Dr. Mosley and his laboratory are looking at what role the immune system plays in PD; how secondary neuroinflammation affect disease progression; and how a vaccine or immunotherapeutic approach can boost regulatory t-cells in PD. Graduate students bring fresh perspectives and new eyes on current research.
