3-week-old Cleabelle Rose (AKA Cleah) was abandoned, not weaned, without her mother. As of today she is eating solid food in her new home with us. As far as carrying the cat by her scruff, kittens under three months of age respond to a reflex that relaxes them when their mothers lift them by their scruffs. Their tail will curl between their legs and they'll hold still, allowing their mother to with them as she pleases. This serves as a useful function in the kitten's survival, as they often try to stray away from their mother after they open their eyes, so the mother utilizes this to keep them all in check. While this reflex sometimes carries into adulthood, their weight is too much for their scruff to support, so they shouldn't be carried this way.

Humans abuse their rights above other animals. Our capability over them is not a right to abuse, torture, and even kill them. When God gave us dominance, he didn't mean destroy his creations.
I'm tired of the comments about "animal cruelty cannot be stopped" because I know it's been around forever and it always will, but just because we can't stop it doesn't mean we should give up trying. Life isn't perfect, but we can try to make it the best. So please be considerate and at least positive. This is here to bring recognition to cruelty, not for people to ramble pessimistically.
Please no foul language. Any other questions, feel free to ask. Help save puppies, kittens, and other abused animals if you ever find one. You don't have to keep it if you can't, but the honor is in trying to help. Let's try and make a difference.
