In this Video Dr Armin Kalenka, from Bergstrasse Hospital, is doing a quick theoretical l review of lung protection and is sharing his experience at the bedside . He is showing ,practically, how to assess the lung volume, check the recruitability, and titrate the PEEP using automatic advanced tools of GE CARESCAPE R860 ventilator .In the last part of the video he will then explain how to analyse and use all the collected data to individualize the strategy and set up the appropriate protective ventilation to the patient .
