This is my own variation of Tammy's variation of Beth's variation of Beth's Mom's version of Char Siu, with an added twist taken from an online recipe by Lila Voo. It's absolutely FANTASTIC! I will be making it again, and often. (Next time, too, I'll break out that pork tenderloin that's stashed in the freezer.)

That method kept the meat VERY moist and full of taste. Next time I won't hesitate to cut back from the 10 minutes to 8. It'll still be fully cooked.
