On October 4, 1997 over 3 million Christian men descended on Washington DC for Stand in the Gap: A Sacred Assembly of Men, a day of personal repentance and prayer for our nation. The footage here was all shot as they prayed and sang and were inspired by incredible Christian speakers. I shot all but a few segments of this footage. The most impressive shot (one I did not shoot) is near the end of the video. It is an aerial view from above Lincoln Memorial looking down the Mall toward the Capitol. The mass of men, packed in like sardines, extends from this side of the Washington Monument to the Capitol and from the buildings and streets on each side. I am still emotional when I watch this footage...Evidence that GOD IS AT WORK in the men of our nation!

Glory to God!

Question: 3 Million? really?

Thanks for the video. I was there with a group of 75 other men from the Greenville MS area. Was a very moving experience that I will never forget. One of the most incredible times that I experienced while there was one night while exploring the area we were at the Lincoln Memorial and it was lit up and there was a large group of people on the steps playing guitars and worshiping the Lord. It was one of the most moving experiences in my life. Praise God!!

I was there 17 years ago, i took my two oldest boys (11 and 12 years old).   God moved that day among the men of this great nation.  I remember seeing men fall on their knees as they worship our great and living God!  Words can't describe the memories that were ever ingrain in my heart that day.  It will always remain a very special day and I wish PK would do a follow up Stand In The Gap!!  We need revival again...2 Chronicles 7:14 14 'if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.'

My son (8 years old then) and I participated there with men from our church. It was awesome! There was no "protest" but a humble cry of men's hearts for a nation to return to its Lord Jesus Christ. It was a time for a cry for mercy by Christian men of all ethnicity, sects of true Christianity, born of His Holy Spirit. It even began to drizzle there but men were unmoved to pray for then our Democrat president Bill Clinton who didn't bother to show up. Lord Jesus, please answer our prayers and bring America back to You with true repentance and revival. Touch my sons' generation to raise up godly warriors who will battle the enemy of our souls with prayer, Your Word Your Holy Spirit, Your Love and live out their lives in godliness, humility, strength and truth. Glorify the Name of Yahweh again in the USA and in all the World.

Like a million of you, I was there.  What impressed me most was not the speakers, or the publicity of the crowd being there, but how God moved through each person I met, individually.  Everyone I met and spoke to met God that day and repented of personal sin.  I have to stop the tears are flowing.

This was the greatest day of my life, next to marring my wife Joyce and raising a Godly home. I hope who were there this day are still remembering all the promises and covenant we all agreed to . Thanks to God & Promise Keepers

I a 45 year old christian man that attended the Million Man March Monday October 16, 1995 along with hundreds of thousands of other Christian men. I could not find in me to attend this rally because I don't believe this rally had right motivation and wasn't authentic. I found it interesting this rally had same scriptural theme as Farrakhans 1995 MMM. Parks later estimated MMM numbers at 1.8 to 2 million men present on the mall. I applaud your efforts but I simply can't ignore Farrakhans anointing to make that call. Note: 3 million is highly exaggerated and as a follower of Christ I thought is was necessary to speak truth as i saw it. Your brother in Christ
