After a long 13 years of court battle, finally the Kuala Lumpur High Court has ruled out in favour of the East Timor rights activists, including Tian Chua amongst others. The court has also ordered the government to compensate 29 activists for wrongful detention during a conference on East Timor 13 years ago.
How is the amount justified? Will the High Courts decision be overturned?
