In advance of Sochi 2014, teachers and their classes are invited to a Connected Classrooms Hangout on Air for "Science and Engineering of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games," a unique video series created by NBC Learn in partnership with NBC Olympics and the National Science Foundation, exploring the science and engineering behind the amazing athletics at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. First, watch the series at www.nbclearn.com/science-and-engineering-of-the-2014-olympic-winter-games. Then join us at an exciting Connected Classrooms hangout featuring NBC Learn producers and the scientists from the videos.

For our second Hangout, we'll be talking to Dr. SARAH KONRAD, a professor at the University of Wyoming -- and a former Winter Olympian herself -- about snow, that white fluffy stuff that's an essential part of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games.  Thursday, January 30, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time.

Before the hangout, all participating classes are asked to watch the video featuring Sarah at www.nbclearn.com/science-and-engineering-of-the-2014-olympic-winter-games/cuecard/68287, and come prepared with questions.  Sign up here:
