What's New in Minecraft Snapshot 18w06a?

Here's a new snapshot that was released earlier today - with a new, faster, world generator and a Furnace recipe book.

If you want to play this snapshot, choose the "Snapshots" profile in your launcher. Keep in mind that snapshots are unstable - they can break your world if you are unlucky - keep backups!

Changes in this version:
Gameplay:
- Furnace recipe UI
- Furnace Recipes unlock during gameplay
- Similar to the crafting recipe book
- Customizable with data packs
- Fuel still hardcoded
- Fuel items will cycle through options when showing a recipe, but not automatically be put in
- Fixed the recipe book tab sound playing twice
- Fixed the tab player list sorting player names based on ASCII values instead of alphabetically
- Fixed nether portals no longer being activatable from the side
- Fixed flint and steel in dispensers losing durability when not igniting

Tech:
- Rewrite of world generation system (one more major change)
- Generator settings providable through json files

Customized worlds don't work yet

- Fixed the 'paintings.json' recipe file not using the 'minecraft:wool' tag
- New tags: banners, plates, slabs, stairs, boats

Commands:
- Re-added /enchant command
- Added command suggestions for entity selectors
- Whitespace is now allowed in entity selectors and blockstate arguments
- Added new item & block tags
- Fixed impossible selector combinations not failing to build
- Fixed the NBT path parser being too lenient
- Fixed cycling through tab suggestions starting at the value after the highlighted value even if the highlighted value differs from the currently chosen value
- Fixed tab suggestion erroneously suggesting a second closing square bracket on entity selectors
- Fixed the tab suggestion box for the entity selector closing square bracket being misaligned in certain situations
- Fixed the tab suggestion box for entity selectors not disappearing when leaving the argument in an invalid state and beginning the next argument
- Fixed the game crashing when there is a closing square bracket without an opening one in a command

Warning:
- Very unstable snapshot
- Parts of world gen broken
- Worlds opened in this snapshot will very likely not work with 1.13 when released
- Nether generation broken
- Upside-down trees "tree-stumps"
- End city generation
