Official video of Big Country performing their UK Top-10 hit "Wonderland" (by request!) which was released as a single on January 9, 1984 between their first album "The Crossing" and second album "Steeltown". It became a Top Ten hit for them in the UK, peaking at number 8, giving the band their third Top 10 entry, and reaching #86 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was included on all of the band's subsequent greatest hits collections, although it was never released on any of the band's studio albums, but was included on the US-only EP "Wonderland".
The music video for the song features the band playing the song in a wooded area. (HD video/HQ audio)

Big Country were formed in Scotland in 1981 by Stuart Adamson (formerly of Skids, vocals/guitar/keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar/mandolin/sitar/vocals), Tony Butler (bass guitar/vocals) and Mark Brzezicki (drums/percussion/vocals). The were most known for their ability to make their guitars sound like bagpipes, which is a stand-out feature of their songs. They were frequently compared to their UK contemporaries U2, Simple Minds, and The Alarm. In fact Mike Peters of The Alarm joined the band in 2010 to play several concerts. Sadly Stuart Adamson passed away in 2001 from an apparent suicide but leaves behind an inspiring musical legacy.

"Wonderland" - Music and Lyrics by Stuart Adamson, Bruce William Watson, Mark Brzezicki, Tony Butle
It’s If you could feel how I must feel
The winds of quiet change
If you could see what I must see
Still hidden in the rain
But when the thunder rolls
It comes and covers up my soul

And you will take my hand
And be with me in wonderland
I am an honest man
I need the love of you
I am a working man
I feel the winter too

If you could hear what I must hear
Then nothing would replace
The fifty years of sweat and tears
That never left a trace
But when I look at you
I see you feel the same way too

And you will take my hand
And be with me in wonderland
I am an honest man
I need the love of you
I am a working man
I feel the winter too

You still remember other days
When every head was high
I watched that pride be torn apart
Beneath a darker sky
With innocence within ourselves
We sing the same old song

And you will take my hand
And make believe it’s wonderland
I need the love of you
I am a working man
I feel the winter too
I am an honest man
I need the love of you
I am a working man
I feel the winter too

Wonderland, wonderland, wonderland…
