Jaime Lannister himself once said that watching this video in 720p is more valuable than all of Casterly Rock. Seriously.

This is my entry for the Paradox Challenge of the third season of SoYouThinkYouCanVid.

JUDGES NOTE
Genre wise, Game of Thrones is a gritty fantasty-drama and in this video I have decided to focus on one of my favourite characters, Jaime Lannister. So far, he has been depicted in the show as something of an antagonist and he is often displayed in juxtaposition to the characters we feel inclined to 'root for' - ie. the Starks. I wanted to use this song a little out of its irony and satirical qualities within the context of Jaime's story because, as the 'Kingslayer', Jaime is scorned by much of Westeros (albeit not explicitly due to his status as a wealthy, powerful Lannister) but this doesn't seem to faze him. Jaime is still arrogant, blasé and nonchalant, displaying a vague amusement towards life to mask the inner frustrations that I attempt to show more towards the end of the video. I wanted to create a contrast between the dire reality of Jaime's situation and the arrogance and narcissism of the song.

I hope I've managed to capture the essence of this challenge and I wish the best of luck to all the other remaining participants.

P. S. I'm not sure when my next video will surface on youtube as I have my A2 exams (and my 18th birthday!) next month and I so desperately need to get into university.
