Rare footage of Cardiff during World War II. Though not as badly hit by bombing as cities such as Swansea, Plymouth, London and Coventry, parts of Cardiff sustained heavy bombing because of its docks and munitions factories. However, even Llandaff Cathedral got hit and was second only to Coventry Cathedral in the scale of damage. However, unlike Coventry it was restored not rebuilt. In this clip is footage of visits by the King and Queen as well as Churchill to the city.
