Life Online at the National Media Museum, Bradford, West Yorkshire

Opens 30 March 2012

In March 2012, we will open the world's first gallery to explore the social, technological and cultural impact of the internet. This permanent gallery will trace the history of the internet, uncover how it has changed people's lives and track the latest trends.

The gallery will bring together historically significant content, multimedia displays, and a programme of special exhibitions exploring contemporary trends and issues related to how the internet and the web are changing society.

Life Online will be powered by the ideas, thoughts and opinions of our physical and virtual visitors, ultimately creating an invaluable public archive of society's relationship with the internet and the web in the 21st century.
