Shirley Tucker worked as a book cover designer at Faber and Faber - alongside Berthold Wolpe - from the late-1950s until the 1980s. She was responsible for countless classic modernist jacket designs including, perhaps most famously, the original 1966 edition of Sylvia Plath's 'The Bell Jar'. Here she is in April 2012 in the Archive at Faber's London offices recalling that iconic piece of work.
