This is a collage of video clips, that I shot, while whale-watching in Alaska last summer; and edited extensively. They are amazing beings! We even saw a relatively rare feeding behavior, where they work together in a group, called 'bubble-net feeding'. They corral a school of small fish into a tight bunch at the surface; they have no place to go. The whales dive and, at the signal from one, they swim straight up with mouths open. With the whales below and seagulls above, the school doesn't stand a chance.
