The United States announced earlier this year that it plans to shift its security emphasis toward Asia. And as that process moves forward, the Pentagon is revealing more details about how it plans to shift forces to the region and strengthen ties with its allies. While some welcome Washington's decision to shift more attention to Asia, concerns are being heard from others, including China -- one of the region's growing military powers.
